The 2009 Rijckaert En Paradis Vieilles Vignes is Chardonnay from the Jura region in France and the ABV is 13.0%. The 2010 Seguin Manuel Lavieres Savigny Les Beaunes is Pinot Noir from the Burgundy region in France and the ABV is 13.0%.

"Appellation: Arbois
Lieu-dit: En Paradis
Grape varietal: 100% Chardonnay
Soil: Clay , blue marls from Lias, sandstone and limestone
Average age of the vines: 40 years
Exposure: in the south of the Arbois vineyard, on a steep hill looking West-North Yield: 40-45 hl/ha.
Harvest: Manual in cases of 40kg
Pruning: Arcure
Agricultural method: Integrated farming, against the mildew and the oidium. No insecticide or anti-rot used. Spading once a year â use of post-emergence weedkiller treatment as integrated as possible.
Vinification: Natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The fermentation is completed in oak barrels. Aged for 10 months, 25% in new barrels. Batonnage done 5 to 8 times. No racking, the wine is kept on the fermentation lees." - Importer

"It has a bright ruby colour. It combines on the nose red fruit and floral aromas as well as toasted notes. It is supple, straigthforward and elegant on the palate with a lovely balance with pure and clean red fruit. Tannins are ripe, fine and very well integrated to the wine. "Initially located in Savigny-les-Beaune, new plots have been added to the domain in the villages of Beaune and Puligny-Montrachet since 2007 and more recently in Pommard and Meursault. More than 6 hectares of vineyard are now directly grown by us. These are grown organically with no use of chemicals. The soil is ploughed in order to strengthen the roots. The date of harvest is decided when each plot has reached its full ripeness. Each plot is hand harvested." -Winery
