"Dark ruby red color; aromatic notes of red fruit and spices accompanied by superbly structured, soft and elegant tannins. The wine's remarkable structure makes it an ideal match for the finest, aromatic and richly flavored dishes based on game. It combines well with aged cheeses. The aroma and flavor of this Rosso di Montalcino fully express the wine's characteristic youthfulness, beginning in the year following its release onto the market. Because of its pronounced fruity notes and structure, the wine is ready to drink soon after it goes on sale." -Winery

"The grapes, harvested at the beginning of October, are soft-pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 25-26 degrees Celsius. (77-79 degrees F.). Noble components are extracted from the skins through periodic pumping over the cap. The period of maceration of the skins varies from 10 to 15 days. The Rosso di Montalcino matures for six-seven months in large Slavonian oak casks and is subjected to frequent racking. Before it is released for sale, the wine is fined in the bottle for some months."
