You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

90 Pts Jay Miller - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"El Quintanal's entry level Ribera del Duero is a fine introduction to this region and is noted in the Best Buy chart at the end of this report. The 2006 Vendimia Seleccionada is 100% Tempranillo and was aged for 12 months in French oak before being bottled unfiltered. Dark ruby-colored, it offers an excellent bouquet of cedar, wood smoke, violets, mineral, and blackberry. On the palate, it is plump and full-bodied with a supple mouth-feel. There are layers of fruit and some silky tannin in this well-balanced Ribera. It will add a bit of complexity with 1-2 years of further cellaring but can be enjoyed now through 2016."

Description:

"100% Tempranillo. Dense and acute - finely delineated. Lots of bright fruit. Juicy. Quite dry tannins on the finish, but lovely fruit on the mid palate with a hint of tobacco leaf. Good wine. Not bad value at all. Drink 2008 to 2012. (JR)" 16.5 out of 20 points, Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages

WINE:
"This wine shows the true purity and elegance of Tempranillo. The nose displays refined raspberry and blackberry notes with undertones of vanilla and cedar. The same purity of fruit is evident in the taste, with a silky texture, refreshing acidity and fine tannins leading to an aftertaste of sweet spice and dark coffee." -Winery

WINERY:
"Cillar de Silos continues a centuries-old tradition of cherishing the best fruit of the land. In medieval times, people around the village of Quintana del Pidio brought the finest products of their harvest to the monastery of Silos to ensure blessing for the next harvest. The friars gathered the best wines of the area in their cellars, and thus the cellar of the monastery of Silos became the place to age the finest local wines. In the 21st century, the monastery is gone but Cillar de Silos preserves their tradition."

"The Aragon family has made wine for personal consumption for as long as records go, but in the 1970s Amalio Aragon started to systematically acquire top vineyard sites in Ribera del Duero. The area had started to emerge as the new area for Tempranillo, and in 1982, the new classification of Ribera del Duero Denominacion de Origen (DO) was created. Within the Ribera, vineyards around the village of Quintana del Pidio seemed particularly promising for fine wine production, and that is precisely where Amalio Aragon expanded his vineyards. 1995 was the first vintage of Cillar de Silos, and the wines have gained reputation ever since."

"Today, the company produces over 340,000 bottles per year from high-altitude vineyards surrounding the village of Quintana del Pidio, and is still growing. International wine press has praised the quality of Cillar de Silos wines, and in 2010 the Torresilo won the Ribera del Duero Trophy at the International Wine Challenge. The domestic Spanish market takes still a large proportion, but Cillar de Silos wines are now sold around the world on five continents."-Winery
