"In the southern hemisphere the constellation Argo Navis is separated into three star clusters: Vela (The Sails), Puppis (The Stern), and Carina (The Keel). Named for the epic ship Argo and its crew of fifty, the constellation was placed among the stars by the Greek goddess Athena upon completion of the epic quest for the Golden Fleece. The crew, better known as the Argonauts, included Jason, Hercules, Orpheus, Castor and Pollux, triumphed through perils unseen in our modern world and became legends to innumerous generations."

The Viognier offers a beautiful floral bouquet that mingles with the Syrah's heavier scent of black cherries and pepper, as the robust palate oscillates between dried cranberries and lavender, blackberries and anise. "Colson Canyon (93% Syrah): Soil: clay loam with calcareous deposits, Elevation: 1,400 ft. Climate: This vineyard sits above the fog level, so sees very hot days, slightly cooler nights. Farming techniques: organic farming, with 8 acres planted with Syrah, Clone 877 (this is the clone we get) Stolpman (7% Viognier): Elevation: 700-1,600 ft, dry, organic farming with no herbicides, fungicides or pesticides. Use of natural ecosystem with hawk perches and owl boxes. Soil: sandy, clay loam with limestone deposits" -Winery
