"The top of the line bottling from Jacques Picard is an outstanding example of the vintage. The bouquet is deep, complex and classy, as it jumps from the glass in a blaze of tart orange, apple, fresh-baked bread, lovely soil tones and a touch of fresh nutmeg in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and complex, with beautiful balance, a fine core of fruit, bright acids, quite refined mousse, and excellent length and grip on the classy finish. Just a lovely bottle of bubbly that is drinking splendidly today and should have absolutely no difficulties aging gracefully for a couple of decades. High class juice. 2010-2030." |

Smoky orange, floral honey and mineral aromas expand with air, picking up subtle herbal and green tea qualities. Vivid orange and honey flavors display impressive depth, with a jolt of back-end minerality adding vivacity. Finishes with brisk, tangy notes of citrus pith and dusty minerals. Lots going on here already, but I'd stash this baby away for at least a few more years." |
