Description:

2009 CHATEAU MONGRAVEY:
"Ripe, sweet berry and currant aromas follow through to a full body, with fine tannins and a mineral, fruit and dried flower aftertaste. Best ever?" 90=93 points Wine Spectator

WINE:
"Chateau Mongravey 'amongst the most elegant Margaux wines'. It is not surprising that the 'Alliance des Crus Bourgeois' has awarded this exceptional cru the title of 'Cru Bourgeois' as of the 2003 vintage. Since 1980, Chateau Mongravey's destiny lies in the hands of Regis Bernaleau who, thought and built the remarkable cellar, both aesthetically and technically. It's through hard work that he has been able to pass on his passion while ensuring that this exceptional cru always shines with prestige and elegance. Mongravey is a magic wine which matches with nobility the most subtle cuisine. It is a wine which will offer you pure instants of happiness and emotion." -Winery

WINERY:
"Starting from a small Margaux established vineyard inherited from his father in 1980, Regis Bernaleau has expanded his two properties de Braude and Mongravey. Nowadays, the 19 hectares composing these two domains are equally parted between the Margaux and Haut Medoc appellations." -Winery

This wine was also rated 84-86 by the Wine Enthusiast.

2006 SECRET DE CARDINALE:
"Bright red-ruby. Sexy red berries, black cherry, dark chocolate and tobacco on the nose, with superripe suggestions and a minty nuance suggesting a wider range of ripeness than the estate's flagship wine. Then lush and sweet in the mouth, with an almost liqueur-like quality to the dark raspberry and chocolate flavors. Finishes with good energy and a firm tannic spine." -90 Points- Stephen Tanzer- International Wine Cellar

WINE:
"The vines of Secret de Cardinale are located on a 1.20 hectares plot bordering Chateau Fleur Cardinale. This wine is made in small quantities using the same growing and wine making techniques as those at Chateau Fleur Cardinale. The vines are 35 years old, on average, and they grow in the clay-limestone soil of the Saint-Emilion appellation hillside. There is just one variety of vines for they are 100% Merlot, which is quite rare in Bordeaux." -Winery

WINERY:
"The estate was bought in 2001 by Florence and Dominique Decoster, and it has benefited form major investments which have made Château Fleur Cardinale one of the top names of the appellation. It is located to the east of the village of Saint-Emilion, on one of the high points of the appellation and it extends over 20 hectares. The vineyard is planted in a clay-limestone soil in the middle of the plateau on a pleasant late producing terroir. The vines are mainly Merlot (70%) and then a balance of 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc. With it's great value for money, and showing great consistancy in it's quality, Chateau Fleur Cardinale was promoted to 'Saint-Emilion Grand cru classe' in 2006." -Winery

"The follow up to last year's smash hit! Dominique Decosters of Fleur Cardinale (the 2006 has been rated 91 from Robert Parker) hand crafted this gorgeous wine from a tiny parcel of the Fleur Cardinale property. The style is more of a traditional Bordeaux than the Chateau's primary wine. Elegant, structured and focused, with good concentration, but also has excellent terroir that runs side by side with the purple and red fruits. This beauty should age for 15+ years. 100% Merlot."
