Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

91-92 Pts David Schildknecht - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"Reflecting a miniscule volume due to hail, the 2009 Chenas Q Domaine Piron & Lameloise (formerly labeled 'Quartz,' and part of a joint venture with the Lameloise family) displays a nose unusually mingling ripe blackberry and blueberry with suggestions of roasted eggplant. A saline savor I associate with many quartzite-rich sites threads its way through the wine's richly-fruited yet finely tannin-suffused and stimulatingly bright palate. A bittersweet low tone again reminiscent of roasted eggplant adds to the wine’s saliva-inducing, palate-staining length. This Chenas - raised one-third in older barrel, but tasted assembled - should be another candidate of its vintage for 4-6 years of fascinating bottle evolution." 91-92 points - David Schildknecht - Wine Advocate

"Granite soil with strata of quartz gives this wine its intense texture, very structured and tight. It's at a young stage, the red currant and dark cherry fruits integrating with the firm character of the wine. Keep for two years. -R.V." 91 points Wine Enthusiast

WINE:
"CHENAS is full of finesse and elegance. The first impression on the nose is floral with distinct peonie and lilac notes against a mineral background because of the influence of the Quartz in the soil, the mouth is complex, round and very quickly mineral, almost salted and smoked. In January 2011, this Chenas won first place in a small competition organized by the regional sommelier association." -Importer

VINIFICATION:
"The vineyard is 8.5 hectares and a lutte raisonnee is used for vineyard management. The grapes were hand harvested in the middle of September. About 80% of the grapes were destemmed and maceration lasted over a period of 18 days in concrete tanks. After malolactic fermentation, 30% of the wine is aged for 10 months in mostly neutral barrels with just 2% being two years old." -Importer

WINERY:
"Managed by Dominique Piron, the 14th generation winemaker in the family, and his wife Kristine Mary. Domaine Piron is a wine company which manages and vinifies, through different wine estates, and 60 hectares of 50-years-old vines. Domaine Piron specializes in the Beaujolais appellation of Morgon and its climates and also produces the appellations of Beaujolais, Beaujolais-Villages, Regnie, Brouilly, Moulin-a-Vent, Fleurie, Chenas, Beaujolais and Bourgogne Blanc. Domaine Piron is dedicated to cultivating their vines with a deep respect for nature and the expression of the soils." -Importer
