"Bright straw in colour. The bouquet displays the mineral and lime highlights which seem consistent with the White Hills vineyard character although the palate seems more concentrated with greater palate weight than previous years." -Winemaker

"With the first sparkling fruit in the Tamar Valley picked on the 26th Feb, what looked like being the third early year in a row actually turned out to be a long vintage. Despite a âmini heatwaveâ on the 17th, some of the coolest sites in northern Tasmania were picking into early May. Higher yields along with ripe flavours were very welcome after the low yielding 2007 vintage, with some strong, early drinking whites, especially Sauvignon Blanc." -Winery

The combination of a truly cool climate and summer rainfall, features which we share with northern France and New Zealand, make Tasmania particularly well suited to the production of these early-drinking wine styles."
