Description:

2007 PATRICK LESEC LES GALETS BLONDS CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE:

""The 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Galets Blonds includes 90% Grenache from nearly 100-year-old vines blended with 10% Syrah from the renowned sector in the eastern part of the appellation known as Le Crau. This brilliant offering displays black raspberry, black cherry, floral, forest floor, underbrush, and cassis characteristics along with superb concentration, an opaque purple color, a gorgeously intense, multidimensional mouthfeel, and a sensational finish."

"I have long been a big fan of this cuvee, having bought and cellared vintages from the late nineties through 2001, and those wines took 3-4 years to develop, and are aging beautifully. The 2007 is potentially one of the best Lesec has yet made. It should drink well for 10-15 years.""-94 Points Robert Parker

"Bright purple. Ripe cherry and blackcurrant aromas are complemented by rooty sassafras and cola. Broad, palate-coating dark fruit flavors are framed by chewy tannins that fade into the fruit on the back half. A sexy floral note gains power with air and carries through the long, sappy, floral-tinged finish. This will be better with a few more years of bottle age." -91 Points- Josh Raynolds- International Wine Cellar

2008 Flora Springs Barrel Fermented Chardonnay :

"The 2008 Chardonnay Barrel Fermented offers up aromas of honeysuckle, white peaches and popcorn along with a rich, concentrated finish. Perhaps the spring frost and tiny yields in 2008 are the reasons for the extra level of intensity. Drink this outstanding Chardonnay over the next several years." 90 Points - Robert Parker

2008 Clone 5 Central Coast Pinot Noir:

"Clone 5 Pinot Noir is a massive and exciting Pinot Noir with the subtle classic elegance that has made Pinot-Pinot! Not the super Syrah inspired efforts we are seeing out of California and that's a great thing! The silky strawberry and pepper flavors rock this wine right through the long and wild finish." -Winery

2007 Seven Hills Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Seven Hills Vineyard:

"Polished, focused and generous with its clearly articulated currant, plum and savory herb flavors, coursing smoothly through the refined finish. Drink now through 2017. 640 cases made." -92 points Wine Spectator

"A seductive nose, densely loaded with black currants and smoke, leads into a textural, single-vineyard, 100% Cabernet with great varietal presence and definition. It needs to breathe open, which puts on more flesh, and starts to unpack the layers. Streaks of mineral, iron, graphite and more cassis roll into the finish."-91 points Wine Enthusiast

2009 Le Paradou Grenache :

"The name of the cuvee comes from a centuries-old farmhouse situated in one of the most lovely areas of Provence. This old mas (as old stone farmhouses are often referred to in Provence) seemed to be the essence of this sun-dappled region, with its terrace overlooking an olive grove and rows and rows of Grenache. On late fall evenings, just as the season is becoming chilly enough to warrant a light sweater, there is not much that beats sitting on such a terrace with a glass of spicy Cotes du Luberon, some local tapenade, and a good friend. Le Paradou is the perfect wine for the job." -Importer

2008 Vitanza Rosso Di Montalcino

"This is a plump, succulent and sophisticated Rosso di Montalcino that boasts many of the beautiful characteristics of its big brother, Brunello. The tannins are tight and firm and there’s a pleasant level of acidity that helps pair the wine to cheese-based pasta dishes." 90 Points - Wine Enthusiast
