Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

Best Price on Web is determined by Wine-Searcher Pro prices as of yesterday: Wine Library sells this for our sale price of $50.98 and we are the best and only price on web. You must be logged into the Pro Version of Wine Searcher to see all of the results!

90 Pts Antonio Galloni - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The 2003 Lis Neris (90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon) is a lovely, soft-textured effort. Cherry jam, flowers, and sweet spices flow from the glass in this delicate, understated effort. With some air the wine puts on weight and darker licorice, tar and black cherry nuances also make an appearance. It offers great poise and balance, only the slightly drying tannins on the finish keep the score from going higher. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2015."

"Lis Neris is located in the small town of San Lorenzo which straddles the Collio and Isonzo appellations. Proprietor Alvaro Pecorari makes elegant, refined wines from his holdings, which are located around the winery itself. He favors 500-liter French oak barrels for his single-vineyard whites and the top of the line Lis bottling, which help give the wines their characteristic roundness. Over the years my favorite wines from this estate have been the Sauvignon Picol (which I did not taste), Confini, and Tal Luc, followed closely by his top Pinot Grigio, the Gris bottling, which in important vintages is capable of challenging the oft-cited criticisms of this variety. Pecorari’s 2005s are excellent, although they show relatively modest structures." -90 points- Antonio Galloni- Wine Advocate

WINE:
"Calcareous, gravel soils on a broad alluvial shelf 60 meters above sea level. The vines are an average age of 10 years old. The San Lorenzo vineyard is 48 hectares that are located in San Lorenzo in the highest and narrowest part of the alluvional shelf. The soil is gravely and the area benefits all year long from a dry eastern wind."

"Soaking in stainless steel tanks lasts 10-15 days at 26-28°C, with regular 'délestage'. Twenty-four months maturation in 225-litre French oak barrels is followed by 12 months bottle ageing at the cellars. Only 500 cases made." -Winery

WINERY:
"The first Italian town to greet the river Isonzo as it meanders its way out of Slovenia is Gorizia, historically Europe's most contended border settlement. Flowing south, the river crosses enchanting countryside dotted with tiny villages nestling around their bell towers and vineyards where the spirit of the place beats time with the rhythms of daily life. It is here that, since 1879, four generations of my family have worked passionately to help create and develop one of Friuli's most representative wine estates."

"1981 was the turning point in the history of the winery. That was the year we introduced a new approach to production aimed at up-grading quality...Our aim today is to produce wines of increasingly high quality and our role is to create the conditions to let this happen. We hope that in tasting and offering these wines you will feel the same delight that we feel in producing them." -Winery
