"It's certainly a rich wine, packed with white fruits, nutmeg, some tight acidity but also an overarching flavor of wood. The fruit is big, weighty, a real mouthful of flavor, very ripe. This single-vineyard wine is certainly at the top of Chateau de Fuisse's range." -93 points Wine Enthusiast |
Description:
"A subtly exotic nose that is airy, pure and ripe features notes of spiced pear and dried floral aromas that are followed by equally ripe, rich and fresh flavors that are more detailed and have now developed greater complexity as well as better length. A good vintage for this wine." -90 Points- Allen Meadows- Burghound
WINE:
"This is a monopole vineyard situated at the far end of a natural basin, bordering the village of Fuisse. Vinification in 3 to 5 year old barrels. The soil is composed of stony, well-drained limestone, little clay, offering elegant mineral lacy whites. The average age of the vines is 40 years old. Pair with lighter foods, grilled fish, fresh salads, and goat cheeses." -Winery
WINERY:
"The Vincent family, owner of the estate since 5 generations (1862), perpetuates the legacy of its winemaking. Inspired and encouraged by their father's 'savoir-faire', each generation added land, improved quality enhancing the worldwide renown of Chateau Fuisse."
"With an integrated viticulture and close observation of nature, special care is given to the soil and the vines. The grapes are handpicked, sorted, and we apply slow whole-bunch pneumatic pressing. Each single cuvee is vinified separately in barrel or stainless according to its origin. Depending on the vintage, malolactic fermentation is applied to stabilize the wines. Close surveillance and regular tastings throughout the winemaking process assure regularity and impeccable wines." -Winery
