The 2007 Chateau Climens is 100% botrytis-affected Semillon from Barsac in Bordeaux and the ABV is 13.5%. The 2004 Lail J. Daniel Cuvee is 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Merlot from Napa Valley in California and the ABV is 14.7%.

It retains an ethereal bouquet of honey, white peach, apricot and orange-blossom with ethereal purity and joie de vivre. The palate is medium-bodied with exquisite balance and essence of mineralite. It balances on tiptoe with perfect acidity that effortlessly counterpoises those layers of rich honeyed fruit; the finish taut, vibrant and with a sense of place. This is outstanding in every way. "The vineyard is 30 hectares, planted solely with Semillon. The average age of the vines is 35 years old. The soils are sandy-clay, with iron and calcium deposits. "There are only 400 cases of the 2004 J. Daniel Cuvee, and it is a beauty. The wine exhibits plenty of creme de cassis, licorice, white chocolate, and graphite. Full-bodied, with sweet tannin and a long, structured finish, this wine is going into a more dormant stage than when I tasted it last year, and I would give it another 2-3 years of bottle age before drinking it over the following 15-25 years." -94 points- Robert Parker- Wine Advocate
