Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!
You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!
Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

| Rating: | 91 Points - Wine Spectator | Size: | 750ML |
| Region: | Rhone | Country: | France |
| Varietal: | Grenache Mourvedre | ABV: | 15% |
Cellar Tracker Link(s):
"This has a really solid core of dark plum and macerated currant, with fig sauce and dark coffee notes. The long, fleshy finish still has some grip to shed. Grenache and Mourvedre. Best from 2009 through 2014. 6,250 cases made." -91 points Wine Spectator
"Deep ruby. Impressively pungent, smoky scents of red and dark berries, with a deep espresso quality adding power. Youthfully chewy in texture, with weighty dark fruit flavors and serious tannins and finishing grip. Clearly excellent material here but this is a tough read today." -91 Points - Josh Raynolds - International Wine Cellar
"Dark in color and profile, with scents of cola and plum leading the way, then a touch of mushroominess from the 20% of Mourvedre in the blend. Chewy, then turns a bit drying on the finish; still, theres plenty of concentration. Drink 20122020." -90 points Wine Enthusiast
WINE:
"Classified as a 'CRU' in 1971. Sixteen hectares (3 parcels) planted with Grenache and Mourvedre of which 12 hectares are very old vines which date from 1925. Vinification is traditional with total destemming and is very lightly crushed. This wine sees no oak." -Winery
BIODYNAMIC/ORGANIC VITICULTURE:
Featured in a 2008 Wine Spectator article, "Gigondas: Chateauneuf's 'Little Cousin' Shows Its Style", the owners, Christine and Eric Saurel, explained their change from traditional agriculture to organic and biodynamic.
"The Saurels' epiphany came in the mid-1990s when they used homeopathic methods to cure their ailing daughter. Christine and Eric began to consider working their vineyards in the same way.'When Eric's father sprayed herbicides or pesticides in the fields, he would warn us to close the windows to the house,' says Christine. 'When I asked if he gave his neighbors the same warning, his answer was no, and his embarrassment at that helped push us to change.' The Saurels went to work on converting their property, which was fully biodynamic by 1996." -James Molesworth, Wine Spectator

"...in 1999 Montirius became the first winery in the Vacqueyras & Gigondas appellations to be certified Bio-Dynamic. The estate is certified organic by Ecocert and Bio-Dynamic by Biodyvin." -Importer

@localcw- Donatiello was never a CW offer, it was a special WL promotion in May. -KM

Re: NOTL Last wknd in August would work for me but may be short notice for others. Oct 16/30 would be best for me w/ OSU football schedule, but I can make anything but 10/2 work!
OMG… its like the mayan calendar and 2012….
:

Re: N-o-t-L tour: Sorry, I’ve been so busy I haven’t had time to do anything with it. My weekend schedule is booked through the end of September with the exception of the last weekend in August (so far… ) That may not be to bad as October is GORGEOUS in Western NY. I’ll review the schedule with Mrs. BLou and be in touch.
@ufpog…obviously Luddite is no luddite if he can manage the umlaut.
Hat trick!

Questions about the Scrio for those of you who have had it more than me….
1) is Thomasses a tough reviewer…. (more or less so than Galloni?)
2) “balsamic” notes… meaning it tastes like vinegar? I hadn’t picked that up on another vintage i had….
:
TIA for your comments
@ GR…. if you can stretch for them, the Macchioles are nice. Otherwise, the San Roman, the Cigliuti are good, and the Big Basin syrah is really a well balanced nice syrah. GV recommended the Vivrais and the CIguliuti too….
Exactly…. the people to cake ratio….

I am enjoying a gift wine from an employee of mine… a Fuedi di Marzano Primitivo di Manduria Sessantanni Old Vines 2006. This grape is thought to be the origin of american Zinfandel, and man this wine is powerful and jammy as heck. Really deep ruby bordering on purple. When you splash it in the glass even the little temporary bubbles around the edge are violet colored. A real mouthful of fruit and smooth! After 20min or so the nose really opened up too. Perfect with the homemade enchiladas i pounded down.
:
One interesting thing, is that this bottle has to EASILY be the heaviest, thickest, largest 750ml bottle i have ever seen. The cork looked tiny relative to the thickness of the neck when i pulled the foil off. Anyone ever have a bottle this massive? Barely fits into a wine rack. Its like a Pinot bottle width at the bottom, and it gets thicker as it goes up before it narrows at the neck. You would swear there was 1000ml in this bottle. Crazy.
@corkscrew- need, not. want, yes. Ordered the San Roman Toro and the Pian Cornello BdM to replace what was sold out from my original order. No worries, they’re not shipping till mid-Oct. Plenty of time for an inventory reduction consumption program!
I believe Dr unk has my stapler-
sorry Luddite, maybe this is better: Drehen Sie die Uhr zuruck…
@GR – my picks
the two Paleo Rossos & the Clos Leglise.
Others have touted the Cigluiti Barbaresco & the San Roman Toro
And yes, I won’t be leaving a tip, ’cause I could… I could shut this whole resort down. Sir? I’ll take my traveler’s checks to a competing resort. I could write a letter to your board of tourism and I could have this place condemned. I could put… I could put… strychnine in the guacamole. There was salt on the glass, BIG grains of salt.
@luddite: Drei das uhr zuruck?
