2006 KANGARILLA ROAD SHIRAZ
"Firm in texture, showing a sweetness and suppleness under the tannins that lets the racy blackberry, cherry and spice flavors come through beautifully. The flavors last on the deftly balanced finish. Best from 2011 through 2017" -90 Points Wine Spectator
"Vibrant and full of juicy dark fruits, with a telltale sign of chocolate in the background; always terrific value." -91 Points James Halliday
This scored 85 points by Jay Miller of the Wine Advocate.
2005 CHATEAU ARNAUTON
"The winemaker/consultant enologist is the same enologist who consults at the 1er Grand Cru Classe, Chateau Cheval Blanc in Saint Emilion. One of the co-owners of the chateau is the Dutch citizen, Arjen Pen. The vineyards dominate the entire appellation on the southern slope of le tertre de Montahut. Benefiting from a unique clay and limestone soil, precise vineyard work and the exceptional climate conditions of 2005, the wines of Chateau Arnauton are powerful, elegant and have a subtle complexity achieved through aging for 12 months in French oak barrels." -Importer
2007 CHATEAU GRAND MAITRE
"This medium bodied red is sure to please. Well rounded with soft, supple tannins, red fruit and a silky smooth finish, this is a terrific wine that is ready to drink now. Perfect with food or on its own." -Importer
2008 FINCA ARANTEI ALBARINO
"Finca de Arantei's 2008 Albarino is sourced from a single vineyard planted in 1990. Light gold-colored, it offers up an enticing nose of mineral, lemon-lime, floral notes, and a hint of tropical aromas. On the palate it is round, ripe, and spicy with good depth and lively acidity. Drink it over the next 2-3 years." -90 points- Jay Miller- Wine Advocate
2008 MAN O WAR CHARDONNAY
"The 2008 Chardonnay is sourced from Waiheke Island and aged on its lees. It is reticent at first on the nose, but it gradually reveals some subtle notes of green lemon, kiwi fruit and apple-blossom. Nice definition, the nose gaining more intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied, very well balanced, good acidity with green lemon, lime, apple and a touch of peach skin and lees towards the finish that could just do with a little more weight. But this Chardonnay works by not trying to do anything overly ambitious? just content being delicious." -90 points- Neil Martin- Wine Advocate
2008 CHATEAU CRU JUSTE BLANC
"Just the right amount of acidity, just the right amount of vibrant citrus fruit. This light and refreshing white is a versatile everyday choice. Friendly with a variety of foods or delicious by itself!" -Importer
