The 2006 Patrick Lesec Galets Blonds is a blend of 85% Grenache, 12% Syrah, and 3% Mourvedre from Chateauneuf du Pape in France and the ABV is 15%. The 2004 La Rasina Brunello di Montalcino is 100% Sangiovese Grosso from Tuscany in Italy and the ABV 14.5%.

It exhibits a deep ruby/purple color as well as classic notes of creme de cassis, kirsch, licorice, spice box, pepper, and truffles. Full-bodied with layers of fruit, lovely sweetness, sweet tannin, and a lusty, heady, hedonistic finish, it should provide plenty of pleasure over the next 15+ years."
"Patrick Lesec's negociant operation is artisinal in nature, small, well-focused, and consistently reliable. The high point of the portfolio is unquestionably his Chateauneuf du Papes. The color is ruby-red tending to garnet, scented nose of fruit and spice, the taste is robust and highly persistent. If it is well kept, it will last many years. It is suggested to open the bottle 2 hours before sipping the wine." -Winery
