Cinderella Wine says: Product Details:
Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

Best Price on Web is determined by Wine-Searcher Pro prices as of yesterday: Wine Library sells this for our sale price of $21.98 and we're the best and only price on the web. We know we are the only store on Wine Searcher with this right now although when we bought it, Timeless Vines was online at $21.95.

Free Shipping on orders of 4 bottles or more!

Please Note it may take 24-48 hours for your order to be put together for store pickup. You'll get an email when it's ready for pick up.

90 Pts Robert Parker - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"Chewy, thick, and rich with good acidity in addition to outstanding depth and texture, the 2007 is slightly superior to the 2006 Lirac Clos de Sixte. The latter wine, made from a similar blend, is more tannic and rustic, but still outstanding. It reveals a style similar to its 2007 counterpart. Both vintages should evolve nicely for 5-7 years. One of the finest properties in Chateauneuf du Pape, Grand Veneur's estate wines have been performing at a brilliant level, and their negociant line, bottled under the name Alain Jaume, is also impressive." -90 points Robert Parker

"Very open and inviting, with fig bread, fruitcake, licorice and mulled raspberry aromas and flavors riding over a racy, graphite-tinged finish. Drink now through 2010." -90 points Wine Spectator

WINE:
"Vineyards in slopes and plateaux. Terroir composed by a mix of clay and sand, covered with pebble. The vineyards are farmed following organic practices. Traditional wine-making in stainless steel vats. Crushed and destemmed grapes, with a fermentation temperature of 30°C. It spends 18 days of vatting with pigeages."

"An intense red garnet colour. On the nose, aromas of red and black ripe fruit (kirsch and wild blackberry) are dominant. The mouth is full, with aromas of blackcurrant liquor and spice. Tannins are both harmonious and elegant thanks to the fleshy of the wine. The end develop hints of liquorice and vanilla, which give to the wine length and complexity." -Winery

WINERY:
"In the Jaume family, the generations have perpetuated the profession of winegrower since Mathieu JAUME decided, in 1826, to grow vines in Chateauneuf Du Pape. The successions were assumed by Marius, Fernand and Roger. In 1979, Alain and Odile JAUME carried on the family tradition with the creation of the Grand Veneur. At the beginning, the vineyard extended over 22 acres. Over time, the vineyard grew to today's figure of nearly 170 acres spread in the Chateauneuf du Pape, Lirac, Cotes Du Rhone Villages "Les Champauvins", and Cotes Du Rhone areas."

"In 2003, a new estate of 50 acres was acquired : the "Clos de Sixte" Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée Lirac. This appellation located few kilometres from Châteauneuf du Pape (in front of it when you cross the Rhone river), is one of the fifteen Crus of the Rhône Valley. However, the soils are unique and they look like the plateaux of Châteauneuf du Pape with sandy-clay earth and the famous rocks that cover the soil. For many years, Lirac had less reputation than Châteauneuf du Pape, but it is potentially the coming "outsider" of the Rhone Valley. Over the years, the family has grown, too. Today, Sébastien and Christophe are gradually taking charge of the management of the estate. Sharing the family know-how, they have to put to maximum advantage their knowledge in wine-growing and wine-tasting."-Winery
