92 Pts Robert Parker - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The best wine Gus Anderson makes is his Latitude 38. The 2004 Latitude 38, a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, is a gorgeously elegant wine with beautiful, subtle roasted herb notes intermixed with black cherry, cassis, licorice, and a touch of graphite. The wine is clean, pure, medium to full-bodied, with nothing out of place. This is a terrific wine that has the elegance and complexity of a great Graves." -92 points Robert Parker

VINEYARDS
"Conn Valley is located within Napa Valley three miles east of St. Helena. The vineyard consists of 26 acres in nine vineyard blocks planted on gently sloping terrain at the base of Howell Mountain. The Bordeaux varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are planted on a selection of five different rootstocks. The soils are deep gravelly clay loam of the Bale Loam series- the same soils found in the Rutherford Bench." -Winery

WINE
"A wine with dense ruby-purple color and a nose that rises majestically from the glass. It fills your nose with the scent of black berries, black currants, smoke and flowers. This profoundly rich and elegant wine displays a wonderful mouth feel of black fruits, white pepper and sweet, ripe tannins. It is extremely well balanced and the flavors linger for 45 seconds or more– begging for another taste." -Winery
