"This is very jammy on the nose, but impressive with lots of raspberry and blackberry aromas. Full-bodied, soft and round, with loads of opulent fruit. Lots of vanilla on the finish. Thick and caressing. Flamboyant red here. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Best after 2006. 1,915 cases made."-92 points Wine Spectator |
Description:
"Although the 2003 Giusto di Notri, a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, may not quite reach the level of the 2004 it too is outstanding. Boasting an attractive set of super-ripe fruit, earth, herb and well-integrated oak sensations, it is a plump, juicy Giusto di Notri that should provide its best drinking within the next few years. Like so many 2003s it suffers from slightly hard, drying tannins but there is enough fruit to provide balance and the tannins have become better integrated since I last tasted this wine a few months ago. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2013." -91 Points - Antonio Galloni - The Wine Advocate
"Deep ruby-red. Superripe aromas of chocolate-covered raspberry, quinine and coriander. Broad, spicy and palate-staining, with strong plum and mocha flavors and impressive density. The rather suave tannins turn just a bit dry towards the back end." -90 points- Ian D'agata- International Wine Cellar
