"Rich, with golden tones of honey, apple, pastry and hints of citrus and coffee. It's refined, with harmony and a wisp of smoke on the finish. Easy to appreciate, yet complex. Drink now through 2014. 15,000 cases made." -92 points Wine Spectator |
Description:
"This is the first vintage of a cuvee named, so the advertising has it, after a figure who is both romantic and modern. It is certainly a fine blend that shows ripe fruit, some layers of toast to go with some honey and fresh white fruits. It should age, but, as an aperitif wine, itââ¬â¢s ready to drink now." -91 points Wine Enthusiast
"The grapes that make up this blend come from many different sites within the Appellation, the best of which including 10 Grand Cru and 22 Premier Cru Vineyards. The bouquet reveals characteristics of Chardonnay, with scents of praline and toasted hazelnut, followed by fresh butter, nougatine and caramel. Subtle coffee flavors dominate, leading into a long better and whipped-cream finish with just the right power." -Importer
