92 Pts Antonio Galloni - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The 2005 Barolo Mariondino-Bussia -Le Coste-Mosconi 35 Vendemmia is an elegant, harmonious offering. Made in a weightless, ethereal style, the wine reveals layers of plums, figs, new leather, menthol, spices and herbs. This medium-bodied Barolo offers outstanding length and a refined, finessed finish that makes it fairly accessible even at this young age. The wine doesn't appear to have the stuffing to be a long-term ager, but it should offer highly pleasurable drinking to age 15 or so. In 2005 Parusso waited to harvest all of his fruit until after the October rains had passed. According to Parusso, the tannins were actually riper in 2005 than 2004. This 2005 Barolo is somewhat of a departure for Parusso, as he blended the juice from all of his single-vineyards into one wine prior to bottling, a decision he says was made in order to deliver a high-quality wine to the consumer at a fair price in light of today’s economic climate. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2020." -92 points Wine Advocate

"Aromas of blackberry, tea and Indian spices follow through to a medium body, with fine tannins and a fruity, caressing-textured finish. Very pretty and refined. This is a special blend to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the estate, using grapes from the Mariondino, Bussia Le Coste and Mosconi vineyards. Best from 2011 through 2016. 1,800 cases made." -92 points Wine Spectator

"Bright, deep red with ruby highlights. Deeper aromas of black cherry and dark berries. Quite backward but already displays impressive density, depth and sweetness. This very young wine saturates the palate with flavor. The building tannins give it a serious structural underpinning that will require at least six or seven years of cellaring." -90 points- Stephen Tanzer- International Wine Cellar

"Made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, from the Mariondino vineyard in Castiglione Falletto, from Bussia, Le Coste and Mosconi vineyards in Monforte d'Alba, with this Barolo 05 we celebrate celebrate the thirty-fifth anniversary because in 1971 our father dressed for the first time a bottle of Barolo with his Parusso Armando label. Today, to, we release this Barolo, just as our father had, not separating the single vineyards, but combining them in one unique blend before bottling the wine."

"The vineyards are 250/450 meters above sea level. Maceration on the skins with temperature and maceration time control. This wine is aged in small oak barrels for 24 months. The wine is fined in bottle for 12 months at controlled temperature of 15° C. The color is deep ruby red. The nose is elegant, fine of ripe red fruit and spices. On the mouthfeel, this wine is well balanced, intense, full of noble tannins, long. Serve with red meat roasts, truffle dishes, all game and ripe cheese." -Winery
