"A wonderfully fresh, airy and bright nose of citrus and green apple aromas trimmed in a bit of wood spice complement perfectly the big, rich and gorgeously intense full-bodied flavors that also ooze with dry extract driven into a palate staining and explosively long finish. This is actually a beautifully elegant example with superb flavor authority and the purity of expression is flat out terrific. "Full yellow. Stone fruit and pineapple aromas are almost exotic following the Chevalier. Like a fruit cocktail in the mouth, with a liqueur-like suggestion, hints of dried fruits and a strong clove spiciness. This could hardly be more different from the Chevalier, but then Jadot did not ferment this wine and it completed its malolactic fermentation. "Le Montrachet has a very nice, bright and shiny gold colour. It is a complex and powerful wine. Its comparable depth, intense fruit elegance, and layers of complex, textural richness, reflected in a sublime bouquet reminiscent of honey toast, culminate with a persistent finish." -Winemaker

VINEYARD:
"Le Montrachet is situated to the south of the CÃ´te de Beaune, on both villages of Puligny Montrachet and Chassagne Montrachet (like the Batard Montrachet Grand Cru). The terroir is extremely chalky with a lot of stones, perfectly drained and easy to overheat with south-south-eastern exposition. The Montrachet is produced with 100% Chardonnay grapes."

VINIFICATON:
"This wine is fermented in wooden barrels like all our Grands Crus from the CÃ´te d'Or area, and then aged in barrels during 18-20 months before bottling. This vinification highlights the unique qualities inherent in the fruit of this great vineyard." -Winemaker
