Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

92 Pts Wine Spectator

"Starts out with sweet cherry, strawberry and tobacco flavors, before the massive tannins claim the finish. There's a strong mineral streak, too. All of the elements are well-balanced, just needing time to integrate. Best from 2014 through 2032. 500 cases imported." -92 points Wine Spectator

"The estate's 2006 Barolo makes a positive first impression, as a burst of fresh fruit informs the open, expressive bouquet. Gorgeous and finessed throughout, this relatively feminine, delicate Barolo impresses for the elegance of its perfumed fruit and its surprising accessibility at this stage. It will be hard to resist right out of the gate, as the wine is simply perfectly balanced at its level. As is often the case, the quality of a vintage can be deduced from the entry-level wines, and here that level is very high. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2024."

"This is a superb set of 2006 Barolos from Massolino. The wines show a combination of power and elegance that in some ways recalls 1996. These 2006s will require time, but the investment will be well worth it. Massolino remains very much in the traditional camp. If anything, an increase in the use of cement (especially for the malos) and a greater reliance on large oak for the Barolo Parafada signal a move towards more classicism in the wines. These exceptionally pure, elegant Barolos merit special consideration." 90+ Points - Antonio Galloni - Wine Advocate

VINIFICATION:
"The soils are compacted chalk and shale and the vines are between 6 to 40 years old. The vineyards are located in Serralunga d'Alba, at 310-345 meters above sea level facing south-southwest. The grapes are harvested in mid-October and fermented in stainless steel for 13-18 days. The wine is aged for 24 months in botte and then 12-18 months in the bottle." -Importer

WINERY:
"Established in 1896 by Giovanni Massolino, the winery has been dedicated to the production of great wines from the Langhe area for four generations, of which three generations are currently involved in day-to-day winemaking activities. Today Giuseppe Massolino, who was one of the founders of the Consorzio Barolo e Barbaresco, oversees his sons Giovanni and Renato, who split responsibility for the vineyards and cellar management, while Giovanni's son Franco is the winemaker. Over the years, the name Massolino has become synonymous with robust, concentrated and well-structured Barolo." -Importer
