The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

94 Pts Lisa Perrotti-Brown - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The 2010 Polish Hill Riesling is youthfully subdued giving moderately intense aromas of lime juice, orange blossom and fresh herbs with a suggestion of wet slate. Dry, medium-bodied, the palate has amazing tension with very crisp acid cutting through the vibrant citrus and mineral-laced flavors. It finishes long and steely. Leave this one in the cellar for a good 3-4 years and drink it to 2024+."

"More and more stellar Australian Rieslings are emerging from disparate cool climate areas such as Frankland, Canberra District and Tasmania. But it's South Australia that has more of a history and reputation for great Riesling as is still witnessed by older bottles still in circulation of Pewsey Vale in Eden Valley and many of John Vickery's masterpieces crafted at Leo Buring from the 1960s until his retirement in 2009. Today it is Jeffrey Grosset (a protege of Vickery) and his single vineyard offerings from the higher altitudes of Clare Valley that have been setting the benchmark and setting a very high one at that. Grosset's Polish Hill and Springvale are two of the world's finest dry Rieslings and should be considered must-haves for the cellars of lovers of this style." -94 points - Lisa Perotti-Brown - Wine Advocate

WINE:
"The 'Polish Hill' sits comfortably at the zenith of Australian riesling production as it presents its 30th vintage to the market place. After two excellent vintages, that Grosset regards as the finest Polish Hills of the decade, comes the 2010 which in its first flush of youth looks to be the best of all."

"This is a more typical 'Polish Hill' than the exuberant 2009: shy, reserved and closed. The 2010 Grosset Polish Hill Riesling has restrained aromatics, a hint of lime blossom, some pebbly, wet stone fragrance, powerful mouth-puckeringly dry and pristine lime flavours that are deep, powerful and tightly coiled with savoury, slatey minerality. The finish is pure Grosset: flinty, achingly dry, memorable. Enjoy now or cellar 6-15 years." -Winery

VINEYARDS:
"Grosset Polish Hill is a single site wine from the Polish Hill vineyard, planted at 460 metres above sea level on sandy loam over shallow clay with underlying gravel, shale and slate. It has been made each year since 1981."

"Located at the base of Mount Horrocks, at an elevation of 460 metres, the Polish Hill vineyard is a 'hard rock' site with shallow shale and a crust of clay marl over slate. These thin soils hamper the roots' downward development, so the vines struggle. Relatively close-planted (by Australian standards), a 'modified ballerina' training system provides ideal exposure. The fruit is typically small, in berry and bunch size. Natural composting and hand-tending have been practiced since 1996." -Winery
