"Medium-dark ruby. Forward aromas and flavors of ripe red cherry, cinnamon and faded flowers. Fresh, easygoing and light on its feet, though still youthfully chewy and extracted, but more graceful and better balanced than the Colle Cristi, maybe because of a slightly higher percentage of Molinara. A blend of 75% Corvina, 20% Rondinella and 10% Molinara, the grapes are air-dried for four months and aged for three years in used large oak barrels and barriques. (15.5% alcohol)"

"Amarone Cinque Stelle is a masterpiece resulting from the careful selection of the grapes from the Caâ del Pipa vineyard at higher elevation and a meticulous drying process which result in amazing concentration of sugars, tannins and extracts. âCinque Stelleâ is Italian for âFive Starsâ, an indication of its ultimate quality.

Made with the typical grape varieties of the Valpolicella district, 75% Corvina Veronese, 20% Rondinella and 5% Molinara. Following the traditional Amarone process, after the harvest the grapes are air-dried for 4-3 months and then pressed gently. The resulting wine is aged in a combination of large Slavonian oak barrels (60%) and French barriques (40%) for 3 years, then it rests one more year in bottle prior to release.

Deep ruby color, the bouquet is rich in sour black cherries, blackberry jam and spice. Smooth and elegant in the mouth, with powerful spicy cherry fruit supported by some sweetness, savory cocoa accents and soft tannins. Graceful yet powerful, in a fairly international key. Excellent with roasts, grilled meat and seasoned cheeses. Enjoy with friends after dinner." - Importer
