90 Pts Mark Squires - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The 2016 Alvarinho is not, to my mind, quite as good as the 2015 but it is very close. In typical Santiago style, this has good depth with acidity for support, a rather steely finish and good length on the finish. I think this is a bit fruitier, though, and a little less austere than last year's. The 2015 had a tightly wound feel and finishes with stones. This is rounder. Some may well prefer that demeanor, to be sure. They are merely different sides of the same coin. In its dry and clean style, it manages to be tasty while still being serious and precise. There were 22,000 bottles produced from young vines (four to nine years old)."

Description:

Light and crisp with plenty of acidity, this goes well with anything from shellfish to grilled pork chops. It's a wine we strongly recommend to buy by the case as it will be gone before you know it! This is the kind of wine you bring to the pool, to the beach, or simply grab a glass and sit to sip on the porch.

The quality level here is off the charts. Grapes are hand harvested and hand separated to make sure that nothing but the best quality fruit is used to make this wine. At this price level, the ridiculous attention to detail is well noted and ends up giving the buyer a simply astonishing buy for the price!
