You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

Description:

"Ruby-red. Rich, chocolaty and ripe, with powerful blackberry, cassis and boysenberry aromas strongly marked by notes of tobacco, celery seed, espresso and iron. Wild stuff, with sweet, highly concentrated dark fruit and candied licorice flavors that build and deepen on the palate. This has serious weight and ripeness, a heady quality, and remarkably pure, focused fruit flavors. Finishes with mineral and roasted herb notes accenting the dark berry liqueur flavors. Not for those who insist on grace and delicacy but I loved it." -92 points- Josh Raynolds- International Wine Cellar

WINE:
"All Craiglee wines are made from estate grown fruit, hand picked from vines that are hand pruned and carefully tended here on our family farm. The shiraz is regarded as a wonderful example of southern Victorian red wine. It is regularly included in the Langton's classification of Australia's finest wines, awarded 5 stars by James Halliday and included in his list of classic wines. This wine has white pepper and spice flavours, more intense in cooler years, with red fruits prevalent in warmer years. Subtle oak flavours complement the fruit. The wine ages gracefully and gives pleasure over many years." -Winery

WINERY:
"James Stewart Johnston, a member of the Victorian Parliament, and a prominent local businessman, originally planted vines at Craiglee in 1863. The first plantings comprised about 16 acres, made up of a number of varieties, but over time, 2 varieties proved most successful. These were shiraz and riesling."

"Craiglee Vineyard is operated by Patrick Carmody and his family. Patrick planted vines on the site of the original vineyard in 1976 and processed the first wine in 1979. The first commercial quantity was released in 1982 with the 1980 shiraz. Patrick continues to make wine from the fruit grown at Craiglee, and is assisted by his wife Dianne and sons David and Tom." -Winery

This wine scored 88 points in the Wine Spectator.
