"This partially resembles the Jarolieres in that there is copious wood that just avoids dominating the cool liqueur of red berry, plum and wet stone suffused nose. There is a very solid core of ripe tannins that shape the mineral-driven and large-scaled flavors that possess a lovely sense of energy, particularly on the driving, firm and moderately austere finish. This isn't quite as long as the Epenots or the Fremiers but it's close. Note that this stunner of a wine is also explicitly constructed to reward longer-term cellaring." |
