"Made from 100% Pedro Ximenez. Fresh pale colour with pale olive green hues. The nose is slightly pungent, somewhat tangy almond like aroma; sometimes a touch fruity. The palate is dry with a slightly grapey flavour, quite savoury. Traditionally drunk as an aperitif, with tapas and appetizers (seafood, fried fish, cheese, ham, etc). Provides a subtle aroma to soups and stocks as well." -Winery

"A fragrant wine of intense aromas acquired from the development under the blanket of Flor in oak butts over more than 5 years. This wine presents an elegant style with typical Montilla grapey character." -Winery

"Alvear is one of the most prestigious and internationally renowned bodegas in Andalucia, boasting extensive vineyards that are located in the most famous estates in the Sierra de Montilla y Moriles (Cordoba). This privileged land's star grape variety is Pedro Ximenez, which is thought to have originated in the Rhine region, and is used by the bodega as the unique base wine for its sweet, Fino, Oloroso and Amontillado wines." -Winery
