The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!
Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

| Rating: | 93 Points - Robert Parker (Wine Advocate) | Size: | 750ML |

"The 2006 Le Carre, rated 93, which was not reviewed in issue #181, is brilliant. Beautiful black fruit, crushed rock, and new oak aromas, a dense purple color, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and outstanding density as well as richness result in a successful wine that should evolve for 12-15+ years." -93 points Robert Parker
"From a small, single-vineyard plot of 3.5 acres, this shows intense fruit, very aromatic in character. Its concentration is immense, dark black fruits vying with spice, tar and sweet plum pudding flavors. The Cabernet Franc shows through well here, giving a perfumed finish." -92 points Wine Enthusiast
"Raspberry and black licorice aromas follow through to a full body, with an excellent concentration of ripe fruit, smoky wood and a long, flavorful finish of vanilla and berries. Best after 2012. 400 cases made." -90 points Wine Spectator
"LE CARRE is a single-vineyard of just over one and a half hectares that abuts Clos Fourtet near the centre of the town of Saint Emilion. The vines date back to the middle of the last century and have been completely re-terraced since the purchase of the vines in 2004 from Château Canon, Premier Cru Classe."
With a cropping level of approximately 28 hectolitres to the hectare, double-sorting, and vinification in oak wooden vats, the wine- called "packed and stacked" by Robert Parker Jr at it's debut- boasts a dense purple colour in addition to abundant quantities of black fruits, crushed rocks and flowers nicely wrapped in new oak, where it receives it's malolactic fermentation and ageing. Whilst the main part of the wine is made up by merlot, the Cabernet Franc compliment is fermented in 400 litres barrels that are rolled during primary fermentation. 300 cases only are made." -Winery

Hmm…letsee here: we’ve got ‘smoky wood’…’new oak’…90 FU dollars…this is an EZ pazz….
@ bottomrock . No need to explain…winners like the Canadian Curling Team just grind everyday like you. You know the competiton is gearing up everyday vs. you. I have lowered my expection to the “last” page along with the other small boys and dogs. I will no longer try to be first. We should keep a list of the fallen soldiers. Hahahaha. I grew up in “the Queens” in Bayside. Glad CW ships free to you and the other LIRR/MTA foot soldiers.
@GV….The wine tasting I previously mentioned was last night featuring the wines and cheeses from CW & WL. Fantastic reaction to all to the wines and cheeses. The 2004 Tau Rita was a bomb! All six couples drolled over it. I think you have five new customers!
@Phredd: exactly re ’93 5 P Tokaji: it may be getting even better
@flyerfan: don’t give the tokaji away! try it after dinner pretending that it is a port, taking tiny sips.
cheers,
d
As for this offer, would you rather spend the money on this or get a higher Parker rated Ch Lascombes Margaux – 2005 for less money?
@Phredd regarding the ‘93 Puttonyos Tokaji. I recently tried a bottle that I ordered here. I didn’t view it as undrinkable, but it was a major dissapointment. The finish was non-existant, which for a dessert wine is the only reason to bother.
GV – thanks for the Bordeaux effort…my take on this wine is that it is an expensive modern style wine which will appeal to new world drinkers and has more limited appeal to traditional Bordeaux buyers. The catch is that at or below this price point new worlders can buy plenty of fruit bombs that don’t need to age or be decanted for 3 hours. For many Bordeaux fans the 06 vintage has been and still is too expensive for its level of quality. With the price drops, you can now buy trophy 2005′s for the same money (and I have). Thus, I would suggest to Cindy that there are still pockets of 2005, 2003 and 2000 which would appeal to the Bordeaux market and which the new worlders might venture into trying. I’ve also seen purchases of older vintages by container and sold here… I am wondering whether Cindy can’t acquire some 95′s at this same price point. This would make the traditional Bordeaux folks happy and might appeal to adventurous new worlders who want to try a wine already old enough to drink as intended.
Finally, if I am a retailer I would position myself on buying up 2009 futures…I was in Bordeaux during harvest last fall and I am of the opinion that they have had the best vintage ever…better than 05, 82 & 61. Granted, I was just tasting harvested grape juice but I’ve been doing that for some time and can say. with some authority, that it was spectacular. I also have a number of trusted local connections who agree. 09 is a vintage for aging and not ready to drink like 03. So, we consumers need to stock up on 00, 03 & 05 wines to drink until our 09′s are ready to drink in 2025. GV we’re counting on you to help us out. Keep up the great work Cindy.
@WineLou: Point well said. I would like to add that perhaps part of my problem with Bordeaux is that I do NOT buy wines of even 2nd growth caliber, those you said can be had for $150. When you compare bottles a similar price range, a $25 Cali-cab vs a $25 Bordeaux, or a $50 Cali-cab vs a $50 Bordeaux, I think the Cali-Cab is the big winner, IMHO.
I see some are trying to come up with battle plans… auto-form programs yuck… i have no tricks up my sleeve… it’s just pure dedication and speed. and that’s on my laptop with the stupid touchy mouse that’s a little slow. as the competition ramps up, I may have to switch to my faster desktop… i’ll video one of these times
@navyJ… ya I’m a ways out on long island
@Phredd – Thanks for the input on the ’93 Puttonyos Tokaji. I started to get nervous when I viewed the first post here about it. Picked up a 6-pack when it was offered here on CW. I’m not that familiar with it, but like to try all types of wines as that’s how I’ve learned what I like and don’t like. Figured I’d give some away as gifts, too, for those who like “sweeter” types. Anymore info. you can provide on it, or any direction you can point me in to read about it, would be great! Thanks!!
@CW, 2 things:
1. The offer above is a non-event. Pleeeeeeease, tell me you needed a breather from the intensity of last week…..
2. This Friday 3-pack offer – I don’t know what it is, but it is structured properly. Red, white, and …port. This can make someone’s nice dinner. This is a range and a variety I would expect from smart wine people.
