"The 2005 Malleolus de Sancho Martin is a single vineyard wine encompassing less than 2 acres. Malolactic fermentation occurred in new French oak with lees stirring followed by 22 months in new French barriques. The wine offers a seductive perfume of wood smoke, cedar, saddle leather, spice box, floral notes, blueberry, and blackberry. Round, rich, and full-flavored, on the palate the wine is opulent and multidimensional. Give it 8-10 years of cellaring and drink this super lengthy effort through 2040." -Wine Advocate

"This dense red achieves both concentration and harmony, with intense flavors of blackberry, wild herb, floral, mineral and coffee mingling over ironclad tannins that give way to an alluring, even elegant, finish. Shows great power and great finesse. Best after 2010. 33 cases imported." -96 points Wine Spectator

"Inky violet. Explosively aromatic raspberry and blackberry on the nose, with dark chocolate, anise and smoky minerals adding complexity. Palate-staining dark fruit flavors display almost painful intensity and seem to reach every corner of the mouth. The fruit takes on a liqueur-like quality on the finish, where the repeating dark chocolate and cherry elements refuse to let go. A different animal than the '04, characterized by sheer power rather than the earlier vintage's relative finesse." -93 points- Josh Raynolds- International Wine Cellar

"Malleolus de Sancho Martin" is made with grapes harvested from our Pago de Sancho Martin, located within the district of Pesquera de Duero. It comes from limestone-clay soil which provides coolness for the vine plants during periods of drought. This vineyard covers a surface area of 0.70 hectares (1.72 acres) and is located on a slope on the right bank of the Duero river, giving it a south-facing exposure, 780 meters (2,500 ft) above sea level. The wines produced in this plot are tannic and have a distinctive acidity which makes them ideal for ageing in oak. This estate provides excellent conditions for the grapes to reach full maturity. The vineyard was planted in 1964, with cuttings grafted from the oldest plot of the winery, our Pago de Valderramiro."

"After 30 days of maceration in 3,00 Kg vats, malolactic fermentation takes place in new French oak barrels with stirring of the lees and aged for 22 months in new French oak barrels. A total of 100 cases of 3 bottles were imported for the U.S." -Importer

Reading thru 100 cases of 3 bottles each imported? Sounds like this could run out very quick depending on WL’s allocation out of the 300.

  2. elron

    WOW! Nice!

    Friday’s offers sound good too!

  3. Thin Man

Ken, you may get $95 for this wine at an auction in this economy, enjoy your very young $89 wine.

  4. brett in sf

Had to get in on this deal… by the way I am currently drinking the 2000 chateau lagrezette malbec from a few weeks ago and its amazing. Happy thanksgiving.

  5. Blind Faith

I went in with deal Blind…no surprise!

Now I will think about it and maybe buy more than the 3 I just ordered.

I may have to leave this to my kids to drink…LOL

  6. MR Kite

Give it 8 -10 years? Can’t do that don’t know if I’ll last that long, but I must say for you young ones out there this could be a steal. Damn I wish I could have this now, but if it’s not ready to drink soon, I guess I can find 2 bottles of a quality wine for less than what this beast costs and is ready to drink now.

  7. Drew

It would be a marriage breaker (an the marriage hasn’t even happened yet) if I didn’t buy this. In for two.

  8. Elcaro

Wow – ask for San Vicente Rioja and get this? No question in for 2! Thank you CW…

  9. Ken

Yippy! No longer a Cindy virgin. This is a legendary wine at a price that is too good to be true. I am in for three. Seems like you could flip this in auction market and make a killing, but I will drink mine. Not the kind of wine Gary would love, but right up my alley as I am a fruit whore.

  10. C Wells

mwa: your card will be charged the 88

  11. Laurie

Not this year. Thank you, Wall Street!

  12. BuffaloLou

Both my FedEx and UPS drivers say “It’s WINE!” every time they deliver a box! LOL!

I, too, am waiting for “Cindy’s Anonymous” as I am addicted to this site!

  13. luddite

WS says 96 points, best after 2010, 33 cases imported.

  14. PhilCT

Please sell out soon.. I so want to buy another bottle but the wife would kill me!!!

  15. BSal

    I’m doomed I made it 4

  16. mwa

Trying to buy but when I go to check out it gives me the $149 price.

  17. Lou

You gotta love these huge Miller scores and drinking windows…drink this through 2040…Are you kidding me???

  18. purple grillz

This should have been the best deal ever a couple weeks ago. Finally after a month of patrolling shwag on cindy, a real deal pops up and I bought a new truck today and can’t pull the trigger, THX.

  19. njAndrew

Insane offer but with the WL black friday sale and the crazy 5x Cindy black friday + the December mystery packs I have to hold off.

  20. D-Rod

lol Pete, in my case no one’s home during the day so I need my wine shipped to my office. I already gave the guys in the mailroom their own bottles for all the extra work I make them do. I’m pretty sure they’re convinced I need help, and I wouldn’t disagree!

  21. Pete in Napa

Is anybody else getting to be good friends with their Fed Ex guy? He has a funny smile every delivery, he knows what I’m up to.

  22. Matthew B.

Had an incredible luncheon and tasted thru all of these wines at Emilio Moro with their English speaking guide Barbara in early August. This is one of the best wines Emilio Moro makes, and in August it was full of promise and simply gorgeous. My wife often tries to restrain my wine buying gene. This time she said… get onto your computer (as opposed to blackberry) and get two bottles immediately.

  23. Parkers beyatch

Ok, this is what I am talking about!! Gary, KMurph et al. Very, very nice deal here…I am in for 3 maybe more, all over this one. This may be the best Cindy offer yet. Thank you.

  24. BSal

I’ve asked my family and no knows for sure but is there a wine anonymous club out there. I can’t stop buying. My collection has grown as fast as two rabbits in heat. And my bank account has diminished just as fast. HELP…. Ok I’m in for two, but that’s it.

And now I have to go through this five times on friday, god help me. :)

  25. Gengstro

BAM! Talk about bringing the power! This is my speed. Great QPR. Solid vintage. Fantastic reviews. The description is my kind of heaven. I love Spanish wines, Tempranillo, and this baby has some S H E L F life. This is why I passed most of the week. 3 on the way. I may turn off the power and burn candles to get a cases later. ;o). C’mon…pumpkin…i don’t need more temptation when I check back tomorrow.

  26. mrzitro

    1. its an Emilio Moro
    2. its free shipping for 1 & not for min. purchase of 3

  27. RDHudak

Thanks for the info guys! Have a great Thanksgiving all!

  28. D-Rod

Oh man, Cindy is really trying her best to get me kicked out of home. Few things excite me about this Black Friday, but two-hour deals may just put me over the edge.

  29. Chris Lopez

oops! I meant 5 offers on Friday, not tomorrow.

  30. Kyle

“On Friday, November 27th, log on to cinderellawine.com at 1 PM, 3 PM, 5 PM and 7 PM for special 2 hour offers! That’s right! In addition to our normal offer at 9 PM, Friday evening, cinderellawine.com shoppers will be able to log on during the day for additional offers!”

    Ruh-roh!!!!!

  31. Joe D

Now if only I could type: botles = bottles, Thnaksgiving = Thanksgiving, Tisone = This one and hae = have! still a great deal, even if I can’t type!

  32. NY Pete

On Friday, November 27th, log on to cinderellawine.com at 1 PM, 3 PM, 5 PM and 7 PM for special 2 hour offers! That’s right! In addition to our normal offer at 9 PM, Friday evening, cinderellawine.com shoppers will be able to log on during the day for additional offers!

  33. cgatesman

Gary reviewed the 2004 on the Cramer episode.

(Emilio Moro Malleolus de Sancho Martin) #4; COLOR-dark; NOSE-no notes; TASTE-this is a monster; fruit w/ vanilla on top; a little to Oak Monster for me; really awesome fruit; if you like fruit bombs, you will love this; JM-97; GV-93  93 points

  34. adam

Well, if there’s 5 offerings tomorrow, there’s no way i’ll make it to friday wallet-intact.

  35. RDHudak

5 offers tomorrow?? What that all about??? I am out of town and haven’t read my e mails yet.

  36. D-Rod

Sigh… I think I’ll have to pass. I may kick myself later, but that’s a steep price for a wine that, according to CT notes, is in a dumb phase/way too young right now.

  37. adam

    WOW…. i would consider this one a marriage-breaker. Can’t buy it.

  38. PhilCT

BOOM!!! Exactly my speed.. In for 1, and if this is around tomorrow I’ll probably grab another.. HOT MAMA!!!

  39. Joe D

Got me 2 botles. If you are going to offer deals like this, I had to treat myself ( to share with friends) to a Thnaksgiving present! Tisone may hae to extend to a Christmas present. Either way this is a palate expansion at a great price. Happy Thanksgiving WL!

  40. Chris Lopez

no notes on CT, but here’s the link. http://www.cellartracker.com//wine.asp?iWine=495416

This is a little out of my price range, I’ll patiently wait to see the 5 offers tomorrow…. =)

  41. BuffaloLou

Through 2040… LOL! If I’m lucky to be alive that long! LOL!

Seriously, sounds like an amazing wine, but I can’t shell out near 100 beans on a wine I can’t drink for 8 to 10 years!

Thank you for yet another fine offering, but I have to pass.

  42. MJ

Have lurked for weeks– finally pulled the trigger. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

  43. Tooch

    wow

  44. Kittysafe

I’m in for 1 bottle, I wonder what Gary thinks of this wine, it would be nice to have his tasting notes in the side column :)

  45. Kyle

Boom! 98 pt. JM = really, a 93ish right? Too rich for my blood, but really nice offering!

  46. Pete in Napa

Its a shame I don’t have more money! What a steal!

  47. D-Rod

Dang. I wanna say “I’m out”, but you and I both know that my will-power will give out sooner than later.

  48. NY Pete

    WOW

  49. selena

    Oh this is tempting!!

  50. Chris Lopez

    1st!
