90 Pts Jeb Dunnuck - jebdunnuck.com

"Previous owned by the late Vincent Mulliez (who owned Belle-Vue), Chateau Bolaire is in the southern part of the Medoc and consists of very old vines of Petit Verdot Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2015 Chateau Bolaire is another outstanding gem in the vintage and is a unique blend of 60% Petit Verdot, 35% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Giving up lots of black cherries, cedary spice and lead pencil nuances, it's a medium-bodied, shockingly elegant and charming for a Petit Verdot, has plenty of character, and will keep for a decade. While I don't know the price, I suspect it's a smokin' value."

90 Pts Antonio Galloni - Vinous

One of the under-the-radar jewels of the year, the 2015 Bolaire has turned out beautifully. Dark cherry, plum, mocha, grilled herbs and lavender add character to this dark, fleshy Petit Verdot-based wine. All the elements are impeccably balanced. What a gorgeous wine this! Best of all, the 2015 is a smashing value.

Description:

This cuvee is sourced from old vine Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Merlot vines located in the southern stretches of the Medoc that produced exquisite fruit in the amazing 2015 season. A dark red and black fruit core plays off flavors of spice box, cedar, mild grilled herbal notes and the slightest whisper of iron on the backend. The tannin structure is silky smooth, leaving you reaching for your glass over and over!

It's a total knockout wine, and one that will satiate the palates of every single red wine drinker - and at this sub-$19 price point it's something everyone should stock up on immediately!!
