Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

93 Pts Jeb Dunnuck - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"A traditional, rock solid effort that will delight lovers of mature, traditionally made Chateauneuf du Pape, the 2003 Domaine de la Cote de l'Ange Vieilles Vignes delivers a classical array of sweet red and black fruits, garrigue, licorice, cured meats and saddle leather. Smelling like a Provencal street market, it fleshes out on the palate and has a medium to full-bodied, seamless, elegant texture, a core of sweet fruit and a great finish. Drinking at point, it should hold for another 3-4 years and then have a graceful evolution past maturity. This bottle didn't really start to shine until an hour after opening, so don't be afraid to open bottles ahead of time." (06/13)

93 Pts Wine Enthusiast

Cellar Selection
"Tradition relates that an angel rested briefly on the slopes of the vineyard owned now by Monique Mestre and Yannick Gasparri. The wine from these 80-year-old vines certainly has a heavenly length to it, full of hugely ripe Grenache which bursts out of the glass. There are also big, tough tannins which promise long aging. -R.V." (12/05)

92 Pts Wine Spectator

"Lovely aroma of raspberry confiture announces this beauty, whose core of blackberry and raspberry fruit is supported by tarry, ripe tannins. Mineral and graphite notes flitter in the background. Best from 2006 through 2020. 250 cases made. -JM" (10/05)

Description:

WINERY:
"Today the domain is run by Corinne and her husband Yannick Gasparri. They have taken over from Corinne's parents, Monique and Jean Claude Mestre. Corinne is born out of two old families of wine growers in Chateauneuf du Pape. Her mother Monique is from the Jeune family, owners of Monpertuis. Yannick Gasparri has learnt from his father-in-law how to grow and make wine. The property has 14 hectares of AOC Chateauneuf du Pape and 2,5 hectares in Cotes du Rhone." - www.Chateauneuf.dk

WINE:
"This wine is sourced from old Grenache vines (95%) that average about 80 years old and 5% Syrah. The yield is 25 hl/ha and it's aged in barriques (one or two years old) for 9 months." - www.Chateauneuf.dk
