The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

More Ratings:

93 Pts Wine Spectator

"Soft and sweet, with beautiful plum and berry character and coffee flavors underneath. Rich and very long. A gorgeous young wine. Best after 2011. 600 cases made. -JS" (12/08)

92 Pts Antonio Galloni - Vinous

"The 2005 Barbaresco Montersino is especially beautiful in this vintage. This dark, masculine Barbaresco offers up a compelling array of menthol, earthiness, tar, smoke, dark fruit and toasted oak on an imposing frame. Despite the wine's heft, it possesses more than enough stuffing to balance the tannins. This is an impressive effort from a producer whose wines are getting better and better with each passing vintage."

"Abrigo, a small producer based in Treiso, continues to improve. These are his best wines yet." (10/08)

Description:

Wine:
"Ruby-red, with a rich, complex bouquet hinting at vanilla and red fruit, together with sweet and spicy elements resulting from the wood. Smooth at first on the palate, the big tannins then make it slightly harder, with excellent ageing potential. Recommended serving temperature: 16-18 degrees C." -Importer

Vinification:
"The grapes come from the Montersino vineyard in Treiso (300 meters above sea level) facing south-west, with Guyot pruning. The vines were planted in 1970. Soft pressing of the grapes, followed by maceration on the skins for 6-10 days at a maximum temperature of 30 degrees C. The wine is then drawn off and racked into small, new oak barrels, where it matures for 12-15 months. After clarification, the wine is bottled without filtration. Store lying down in cool surroundings." -Importer

Producer:
"The Abrigo family have been tending vineyards for generations, with their skills being handed down from father to son. In 1988 Giovanni Abrigo began working alongside his father, Orlando, in the family business. Giovanni set out to implement technical improvements in the winery, with the aim of producing wines of character. Subsequently the estate was extended with the acquisition of land and vineyards. Today, the Orlando Abrigo winery farms around 20 hectares of vineyards growing both traditional wines, such as Barbaresco, Dolcetto d'Alba, Barbera d'Alba and wines of the new generation. Together with Virna, he is also involved in the running of the VIRNA estate located in the village of Barolo, which is specialized in the production of the celebrated wine of the same name." - Importer
