Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

95 Pts James Halliday - Australian Wine Companion

"Fine and fragrant perfume of citrus blossom and wet slate; the palate is focused, linear and precise, with an attractive burst of freshly squeezed lime drawing out the mouth-watering finish." (08/11)

92 Pts James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com

"Apple and stone with pear that fills it out with some texture. A little talc with minerality, like licking stones! Very long with a medium-bodied mouthf eel. Everything is in place. Drink now and over eight years. Screw cap." (06/12)

91 Pts Lisa Perrotti-Brown - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The 2010 Frankland River Riesling presents intense notes of lime juice, lemongrass and dried mango with hints of lanolin, kerosene and potpourri. Dry, crisp and light bodied on the palate, it has a great concentration of tightly-wound flavors, finishing long and a little chalky. Approachable now, it should continue to cellar to 2018+." (10/12)

Description:

Wine:
"Light pale straw with a greenish hue and brilliant clarity. Aromas of lifted lime zest and delicate citrus flowers define this classic cool climate Frankland River Riesling. The palate is refined, with racy acidity, concentrated flavours of lime juice and fine mineral notes that develop with length to a finish that is crisp and fresh. With extended cellaring this fine wine will gain in greater complexity and develop into a stylish and elegant Riesling." - Winery

Winemaking/Vintage:
"The grapes for the 2010 Riesling were picked in the cool of the night at a harvest baume of 11.0 - 12.0. The wine was fermented cool over a period of three weeks then bottled early to maximise fruit aromas and flavours."

"Cool summer nights led into bright and sunny autumn days, ideally suited to the development of intensely flavoured Riesling fruit. During the final weeks of the ripening season, cooler conditions ensured the development of the delicate flavours and aromas. " - Winery

Winery:
"The Alkoomi vineyards and winery are located in the Frankland River district of Western Australia’s Great Southern wine region. Since climatic conditions are similar to those of Bordeaux in France, it is not surprising that this region produces some of the best wines made in Australia. The name Alkoomi is taken from local aboriginal dialect and means 'a place we chose'. The logo represents a distinctive Australian plant which grows in the area." - Winery
