Cinderella Wine says: Product Details:
Please note, tonight's wine is available on presale and is expected to arrive in early January, 2014.

Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

97 Pts Wine Spectator

#6, Top 100 Wines 2006
"Very, very intense aromas of dried apricot and lemon. Honey, syrup and Golden Delicious. Full-bodied, viscous and very sweet. Pour it on pancakes. Love it. And drink it. Who can wait? Best after 2010. 6,250 cases made." (03/06)

92 Pts Stephen Tanzer - Vinous Media

"Yellow-gold. Knockout nose combines apricot jam, peach, white plum and spicy, vanillin oak. Lush and fat with fruit; opulent and seamless. Wonderfully concentrated flavors of peach, nectarine and spices, with a whiff of menthol adding complexity. Fat and sweet but with lovely freshness and lift; in fact, this is showing more shape and thrust than it did from barrel a year ago. Finishes long and spicy, with very strong fruit. This is already delicious." (08/06)

Description:

"Rather muted nose, but with a very good botrytis component. Relatively light, but definitely racy with really good acidity. Some green notes. Drink from 2012 to 2025." (11/05) - 17 out of 20 Points, Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages.

Vineyard:
"Silica gravel and clayey gravel - quaternary gravel deposited here more than 600,000 years ago on a substratum of Aquitainian limestone. Plateau, high terrace with southern exposure (20%), medium clayey slope, terrace with western exposure (20%) gravelly crests on the upper part of the middle terrace, several exposures from south-west to north."

"A medium-sized vineyard with very good representation of the different soil types and exposures characteristic of Sauternes greatest wines. This diversity, along with the breakdown of our parcels, gives our wines increased complexity and consistent quality over the years." - Winery

Vinification:
"Vertical wine-press with cage (3 pressings). Debourbage was completed in thermostatically controlled vats at 59 degrees F for 12 hours. Fermentation occured In barrels. 30% new barrels each year from la Tonnellerie de l'Allier, medium toast. 64.4 degrees F (air-conditioned chais and controlled hygrometry). Indigenous yeast. 30 to 35 days. Barrel ageing was done in traditional barrels, bung-hole topped by loose-fitting glass stopper, biweekly topping off 18 to 20 months. Racking: 1st year each month, 2nd year every 3 months." - Winery
