This item is a pre-sale, and is set to arrive early November.

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

91+ Pts Jay Miller - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The 2009 Costers del Gravet is made up of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Garnacha, and 10% Carinena aged for 12 months in new and used French oak. Opaque purple in color, it gives up an inviting nose of wood smoke, mineral, exotic spices, black currant, and plum. In the glass the wine's density and structure are revealed along with loads of chewy, spicy black fruits, plenty of volume, impeccable balance, and a fruit-filled finish, quite an achievement for a $20 wine."

"Celler de Capcanes is one of the leading estates of Montsant and arguably one of the great producers of Kosher wine this side of Manischewitz. This unusual story began in 1995 when the Jewish community of Barcelona asked Capcanes if they could produce a Kosher wine. The installation of new equipment allowed for the production of Kosher wine but also high quality wines from the old vine Garnacha and Carinena grown in the local villages by the 80 members of the cooperative. While the Kosher wines put Capcanes on the map, it represents only 2% of the production and now it is the other 98% which drives the business. The following wines were tasted during my visit to Celler de Capcanes in January, 2011." (05/11)

Description:

WINE:
"60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Garnacha del Pais (catalan, indigenous clone), 30% Garnacha Peluda ('hairy' leaves; imported from Southern France after Phylloxera), 10% Carinena. Deep red ruby colour with blue-violet shade. Mouthful aromas of ripe cherry fruit; plums, blueberry; very fine spicy smoky toasty oak flavours. Full bodied, with soft but present tannins. Wonderful fresh acidity and nicely balanced. Fine viscous sweetness with a long finish. Pair with game, beef, entrecote, BBQ, stew, cheeses, any toasty, smoky, wild, or herby flavors." -Winery

"'Costers' means slopes: north-east facing slopes and old granite terraces, resulting in a very long vegetation cycle. Havest is delayed by two weeks to the 'sunny' opposite part of the valley. These north-east faced vines get the early morning sunshine but are in shade from 5PM on, resulting in cooler night temperature, high acidity, long ripining, late harvest and much more pronouced polyphenol structure, particullary in ripe and not hard tannins." -Winery
