Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!
You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!
Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

"Aromas of sweet blackberry and currant follow through to a full body, with silky tannins and a refined finish. Balanced and pretty. Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Sangiovese. Best after 2011. 500 cases made. -JS" (2009) |
90 Pts Wine Enthusiast |
"Here's an oak-driven blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Sangiovese Grosso from southern Tuscany with thick, dark concentration and spice notes of black chocolate and cinnamon. It's a sophisticated and austere expression with firm tannins and loads of dark spice on the close. Drink after 2010. -M.L." (11/09) |
Description:
"OMBRE is dedicated to Giuseppe Cipriani, the Harrys bar founder in Venice. The label, graphically different from the others, reminds the famous 'Ombra de vin' which the Venetian people are in a habit to drink in the shadow of the San Marco bell tower in San Marco square. Its blend is a bit different from Poggio Mandorlo, that gives to the wine a character perhaps more immediate. Ombre received important awards by the Italian and International specialised and most known wine magazines who ranked it as Super Tuscan of superior quality."
"This very fine and fascinating wine, grown in soils composed of galestro and sand, is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Sangiovese. The charmingly nuanced bouquet shows spectacularly ripe blackberries, spices as new leather and tobacco. The mineral character is wrapped into smooth, ultra-fine and powerful tannins that, as well as the natural acidity, provide an austere structure. Very long aftertaste lingers on balsamic notes." -Winery
VINIFICATION:
"The wine is a blend of 40% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc, and 20% Sangiovese. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vessels with a fermentation temperature of not more than 80 degrees F (27 degrees C.). Maceration time is 16 to 18 days approximately. During the first three days the must is pumped over three times a day from the bottom of the vessel and recycled to the top over the grapes skin cap. From the fourth day onward, two delestage (racking) per day. Maturation lasts for 12 months in 225 liter capacity French oak barriques, plus 6 months in bottle without filtration." -Winery
WINERY:
"In 2001 Poggio Mandorlo, a new great wine adventure, in the heart of the Maremma Hilly region, at the foot of the extinct Volcano Monte Amiata, in the Montecucco DOC area, became a reality. Only the top quality and excellence have been pursued in making fine red wines with an elegant and delicate character but with a strong structure and bold intensity." -Winery
