Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

93 Pts Robert Parker - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The outstanding premier cru Meursault-like 2006 Chardonnay Reserve Speciale is fashioned from some of the top Russian River vineyard sites. It spent additional time in French oak, resulting in a creamier texture and is a bigger, nuttier-styled Chardonnay. Aromas of roasted hazelnuts, marmalade, creme brulee, honeysuckle, and tropical fruit emerge from this beautiful effort. Enjoy it over the next 3-4 years." 93 Points - Robert Parker - Wine Advocate #180 Dec 2008

WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
"The 2006 Reserve Speciale is a substantial Chardonnay with the benefit of great supporting acidity. It is rich, creamy, toasty, nutty and full-bodied. The wine nicely illustrates the influence of both varietal character and terroir. It is sumptuous, powerful, well-honed and long."

"Reserve Speciale is our highest designation. It is used sparingly, in superb vintages only, for wines that stand out for their intensity, concentration, balance and complexity. It represents the pinnacle of winemaking at Arrowood, the creme de la creme of our cellar."

"A few months after harvest we begin the process of evaluating every individual barrel at the winery. We repeat the ritual many times to identify the few select barrels that exhibit extraordinary character and personality."

"After eight months in oak we create a trial blend to make sure all of the components are compatible. In 2006, we selected the best barrels from three vineyards in the Russian River Valley. Those wines were then blended together and returned to oak for an additional six months of aging."

WINERY:
"Arrowood Winery was founded in 1986 by Richard Arrowood, and his partner Alis Arrowood. They crushed their first grapes during the harvest of 1987, and released their first wines in 1988. Before founding his own winery, Richard Arrowood gained an iconic winemaking reputation, as the first winemaker of Chateau St. Jean, producing some of the first single vineyard wines from California. In April 1990, Richard decided to devote himself full time to Arrowood, producing wines without compromise. Richard's philosophy was simple: produce classic varietal wines with grapes grown exclusively in Sonoma County's diverse climates, with as little intervention as possible."

"Arrowood's Winemaker Heidi von der Mehden continues this winemaking approach. Joining the winery in 2007 as the Associate Winemaker, Heidi worked under Richard's mentorship for three years, before being named head Winemaker in June of 2010."

This wine was also scored 89 points by the International Wine Cellar
