East and South-East oriented, the soil of the Premiers Crus from Chassagne is mainly made of clay and chalk. La Romanée is located in the southern part of the village, next to Les Grandes Ruchottes and not far from Morgeot, in the higher part of the vineyards on a clayish soil." -Winery

"Lamy-Pillot is a family-owned estate located in Chassagne Montrachet. There are 20 hectares of vines, and we work from the vines to the bottle. We produce 80,000-100,000 bottles each year, in 30 different red and white wine appellations."
