90 Pts Wine Enthusiast

"Dark and smoky on the nose, but in a good way, with asphalt and pure blackberry aromas. The wine strikes the palate with immediate grace and power. It’s chocolaty yet bright, with toasty oak and vanilla stirring up the finish. A polished and poised wine with a smooth profile."-90 Points - Wine Enthusiast

WINE:
"In 1880, Mr. Pascual Toso left his birthplace in Canal D’ Alba, Piedmont, Italy, and emigrated to Argentina. At that time he could not have imagined that he would become the founder of a winery, which today is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Argentina."

"He settled in Mendoza and believed that there was a promising future for winemaking in the region. In 1890, Pascual Toso established his first winery in San José, Guaymallén."

"At the beginning of the twentieth century, our founder decided to expand the business and acquired vineyards in Maipú. At his estate “Las Barrancas”, he built another winery. “Las Barrancas” (small Canyon) which is dedicated to producing and growing the finest grapes."

"Las Barrancas is in a stunning location with premium quality soils, ideal climate and environment. We have exceptional vineyard management working in harmony with nature and winemaking team expertise."

"The most important thing to understand about Pascual Toso is our passion for the wines and the quality we try to achieve. We are dedicated to extending the bounderies in terms of argentinean viticulture. We have Premium quality wines at high value for money."

In 2001, we hired as wine maker consultant to Mr. Paul Hobbs (an outstanding and very prestigious winemaker from California) for a new high quality wine project. Today, Pascual Toso still makes wines of high quality under the most exigeant procedures and rules. At the same time we have invested in an advanced technology for the production of our fine wines. This wine also scored 89 points from both Robert Parker, and Wine Spectator. It was scored 88 points by Stephen Tanzer
