Description:

2007 CHATEAU SIGNAC COTES DU RHONE CHUSCLAN CUVEE TERRA AMATA:
"The blockbuster 2007 Cotes du Rhone-Villages Chusclan Terra Amata (60% Grenache and 40% Syrah) possesses an inky/purple color as well as a big, sweet nose of camphor, blackberry liqueur, cassis, pepper, and roasted Provencal herbs, a full-bodied, expansive, savory mouthfeel, and a terrific finish displaying admirable precision. Enjoy it over the next 4-5 years." -92 points Robert Parker

WINE:
"The nose is complex, fruity (cassis and blackberry), and spicy (pepper and cloves) with great freshness. This is a voluptuous wine with soft tannins and coats the palate. The same aromas from the nose translate to the palate. They are powerful and complex, with good freshness on the finish. Pair with meat in sauces, beef, or lamb." -Winery; translated by KM

VINEYARDS:
"The hills and terraces of Chateau Signac's vineyards are spaced out around the foot of the Dent du Signac, all with gravelly terrain. This clay and sandy soil is 38 hectares and include grapes of the Rhone Valley: Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, Cinsault, Counoise, and Mourvedre. Facing east, the rows of vines take advantage of the best sun of the day. Certain grapes have been planted since 1990, others have been planted for 50 years according to the chateau's history. The average age of the vines at the estate is 30 years old." -Winery; translated by KM

2006 LACKNER TINNACHER GRAUBURGUNDER STEINBACH:
"Pale yellow. Elegant pear and discreet blossom honey aromas are complemented by a veil of tobacco spice. Creamy in texture, with flavors of yellow apple and pear nicely framed by a harmonious acid structure. This is a very elegant example of pinot gris, finishing delicate and long. Drink from 2009 through 2014." -90 points- Peter Moser- International Wine Cellar

WINERY:
"In the town of Gamlitz, Fritz and Wilma Tinnacher quietly run their tradition-rich family winery with indefatigable energy and enthusiasm. Concentrating on varieties that thrive best in the area, they vinify high-quality wines from fruit sourced exclusively from estate vineyards. The winery possesses exceptional mountainous sites on the Eckberg and in Steinbach. Lackner-Tinnacher is known for an extremely elegant range that exhibits ravishing fruit brightness with delicate feminine nuances. No muscular powerhouses, these extremely long-lived wines evolve superbly during bottle aging. In addition, the new cellar facilities of Fritz and Wilma demonstrate how modern, efficient architecture can be smartly integrated in rural areas." -Importer
