96 Pts Jay Miller - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

This is a half bottle/375 ml!!

"All of these wines are the products of a solera system and are essentially identical from year to year. Readers are referred to past Australia reviews (the most recent in Issue 173) for more detailed descriptions of these luscious wines. R.L. Buller & Son was founded in 1921 by the grandfather of Andrew Buller, the current winemaker. The winery remains one of the benchmarks in the production of fortified sweet wines from the warm terroir of Rutherglen." -96 points- Jay Miller- Wine Advocate (Reviewed in February 2009)

"Deep, tawny color. Singed orange, cherry skin, toffee and marzipan on the nose. Broad, deeply concentrated burnt citrus and pit fruit flavors are complicated by brown sugar and orange peel, with exotic baking spice and floral qualities on the back end. This refuses to let go of the palate, finishing with excellent clarity, thrust and sticky persistence." -94 points- Josh Raynolds- International Wine Cellar (Reviewed in September/October 2009 edition)

"This is dark, almost black in color at the center, with greening evident at the rim. Syrupy, intense aromas of coffee and dark chocolate make an immediate impact on the nose, followed by syrupy, intense flavors of coffee and molasses. There’s mind-boggling concentration here, but just enough acidity to provide a sense of balance. Still, it’s hard to imagine drinking more than a couple of ounces of this at a time." -94 points Wine Enthusiast (Reviewed December 2009)

This wine scored a median of 94 points in 29 notes on Cellar Tracker. See the notes here: http://www.cellartracker.com//wine.asp?iWine=5980
