"A great little Chardonnay brought up in 10% new French oak, with the balance in a mix of vessels, the 2018 Chardonnay offers clean, crisp notes of white flowers, apple blossom, a touch of minerality, medium body, and a clean finish."
The Borne of Fire Chardonnay is produced entirely under the direction of Washington state super-producer Chateau St. Michelle, one of the largest names in domestic wine, their dominance spans to iconic brands like Stags Leap Wine Cellars, Patz & Hall, and Erath just to name a few.
Filled with riper orchard fruits, citrus and perfumed florals, this wine offers great balance in the glass. As noted in Dunnuck's review, 10% new French barrels are used here to provide just the right amount of oak nuance that flavors this wine in just the right way.
"This Chardonnay boasts terroir with pear and citrus flavors alongside floral notes, as herbal element and a unique hint of tarragon." - Winery
