91 Pts International Wine Report

"This inviting Sauvignon Blanc opens to fresh aromas of gooseberry, kiwi, lime zest, orange blossom and minerals all coming together in the glass. Beautifully textured, with a bright and vibrant core that expands through the crisp, mineral laced finish."

Description:

When coming up with an answer to the question, "Where is the best Sauvignon Blanc grown?", there are very few arguments against the Loire Valley. Home to the great wines of Sancerre. Unfortunately though, Sancerre has gone up in price, and finding a good value is difficult.

However, if you head a couple appellations west, you will find the area of Touraine, a place most known for their Sauvignon Blancs and rich limestone soils (sound familiar?). These wines have very similar flavors and aromas to Sancerre at a fraction of the price.

For those of you who have that one single bottle of Sauvignon Blanc you go back to over and over again .... this is the time to change. This is the time to reach for something different!
