"This Merlot from Prosser, Washington's Coyote Canyon Winery uses grapes from Horse Heaven Hills that find a nice balance of vibrant fruit, spice and earthy notes built on a sturdy tannic frame. On the nose, you'll find aromas of blackberry pie with a dusting of baking spice, prominent cedar and incense box notes and hints of milk chocolate and vanilla. On the palate, it delivers slightly tart flavors of cherry and blueberry balanced with notes of baking spice, violet and a minerality alluding to clay pot."
