"The 2014 Pinot Noir Paciencia Estate comes from Dijon and Pommard clone, and raised in 16% new oak for ten months. It has a pure and well-defined bouquet with dark cherries and boysenberry fruit - all very focused. The palate is well defined and lithe in the mouth, the is acidity well judged, gently building with light spiced dark cherry and blackcurrant pastille notes on the tender finish. Very fine." |
Description:
This is a small, family owned and operated estate in Willamette Valley. Started in 2004, they are absolutely dedicated to farming and producing excellent wines, with a focus on Pinot Noir. Many other estates buy fruit and many farmers only sell theirs, that's not the case here as the Coelho family meticulously farms their vineyards to produce fruit of insane quality. This cuvee, Paciencia, comes from their flagship estate vineyard and as the name suggests is meant for longer term aging.
The 2014, which was a tremendous vintage, already have some bottle age on it and is ready to go but could still rest for another 5 years or so!
