"Polished, juicy and supple, brimming with cherry, watermelon and blackberry flavors on a velvety texture, remaining lively and spicy through the long, slightly hot finish. Grenache and Syrah. Drink now through 2019. 165 cases made. --HS" |
91 Pts Wine Enthusiast |
"Two-thirds Grenache and one-third Syrah, this wine has intriguing aromas of white pepper, earthy funk, garrigue and berry. It's full bodied with the oak (33% new French) dialed back, putting the focus on the rich red and black fruit flavors. -SS" |
Description:
Located in the high elevations of the Columbia Valley, Alleromb is able to make classic French style wines in Washington. This one is most like the famed Chateauneuf du Papes of the Southern Rhone. This Grenache and Syrah Blend is full-bodied.
In its youth, there was a ton of fruit notes, but now going on 9 years of age, there is an extra layer of earth and savoriness that comes through on the wine when aged.
This is not a wine you will want to save, open it now as it is in its prime drinking period!
