The 2015 Saint Joseph Chaussenot represents his top wine, sourced from the lieu-dit of the same name in the village of Saint-DÃ©sirat. It's a granite terroir, reflected in the wine's firm but fine tannins and crisp-edged structure. Violets, blueberries and blackberries are joined by hints of vanilla and cedary spice, but look for those oak elements to integrate better with the fruit over the next couple of years. It's a medium-bodied wine, yet it offers plenty of flavor without excess weight and a long, spicy-savory finish.

Gorgeous cassis, blackberries, smoked earth, pepper, and liquid violets notes give way to a medium-bodied, rich, powerful Saint Joseph that has building richness, a great mid-palate, and ripe tannins. Itâs just another smoking good 2015 that already offers pleasure yet will keep for 8-10 years.
92 Pts Wine & Spirits	Only the second vintage for FranÃ§ois Grenier, a grower in St-DÃ©sirat who sold his grapes until 2014, this is a little bit oaky, but in a delicious way. The smoke, earth and dried herb scents conjure up a campfire in a forest clearing; the savor of the dark, firm fruit conjures up thoughts of the roast lamb that would go well with it.
