"To enhance the characteristics of both grapes and make a wine that expresses the peculiarity of the blend, Teroldego undergoes a really short maceration more akin to a rose in colour, before blending with Syrah, which is co-fermented with a small percentage of Petit Manseng and Greco. This delivers a wine that is a perfect mix between broad and soft dark fruits of Teroldego and soft spiciness and delicate tannins of Syrah.
Deeply inked with an intense purple hue, this unusual wine made of Syrah and Teroldego, offers juicy dark fruits, enriched by fine black pepper flavours, unforgettable spiciness and fresh tobacco. Layers of primary aromas are underlined by a perfect balance between the crisp freshness and the finesse of tannins.
The label of iToscani is inspired by Olivieroâs late father Fedele Toscani, and his agencyâs âRotofotoâ logo. âRotofotoâ, a photo agency that mainly collaborated with the Italian newspaper âCorriere della Seraâ, was founded in 1946, and is seen as the beginning of everything the Toscani family has created after. The logoâs brick red colour not only represents the red soils of our vineyards, but inspires us to think of the ruby red hue our wine creates on the rim of the glass. The elegant round circles signify the complex structure yet finesse of the wine, and the play between the contrasting white and red colours stand for the intensity and light(ness), while simultaneously impersonating the perfect symbiosis between the Syrah and Teroldego grapes from which the wine is made." - Winery
