"Lovely dark fruits and some leafy notes on the nose. The intense aromas follow through on the juicy palate with mint and cassis. Ripe tannins, subtle oak, nice concentration and long finish.Good blend!"

90 Pts Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva Estate is the only wine in this entry-level line. It's produced with grapes from their vineyards in the Maipo Andes region and contains 4% Carménère and 2% Cabernet Franc. After a five-day cold soak, it fermented in stainless steel vats followed by malolactic in the same vessels and one year aging in French and American oak barrels. They look for a fruit-driven wine here that is clean, fresh and balanced in the palate, showing the varietal character and the herbal character of the Maipo region. It's really open, expressive and aromatic, with bright red fruit and a balsamic, minty and pungent note that makes it very attractive and distinctively Maipo in the nose. The palate is silky and soft, polished and sleek. This is a wine with good freshness and less extraction as they started to pick early (in 2010 but mostly after 2012) and doing a soft vinification. A very good commercial Maipo Cabernet at a very attractive price."

Description:

"The Liguai estate, exclusive source of Pérez Cruz wines and home to our winery, is located in the Maipo Valley’s “Maipo-Andes” subregion, nestled against the mountain foothills between 1,450 and 1,700 feet elevation.

Our Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon faithfully reflects the unique features of Maipo Andes: combination of alluvial parcels; stony, high permeability and drainage due to the presence of gravel in the subsoil." - Winery
